Frequently Asked Questions
We are happy to support, with in reason any sort of animal rescue, hospital, carer or organization. Whether you are an individual carer, a wildlife group with many, or a domestic dog rescue – we want to hear from you! The Rescue Collective begun in domestic rescue and whilst we are passionate about the wildlife, we are equally committed to domestic rescue also.
If you or anyone you know needs help, please contact us.
In addition to direct funding donations, there are several ways you can help, but our preference is you donating supplies from our Wishlist. The items are vital to supporting the lives of all species around Queensland and New South Wales.
We recommend either Vetnpet Direct or Australian Wildlife Supplies to purchase your supplies. Both are local QLD companies who have supported us from the beginning.
There are, of course an abundance of other online vet, pet and produce stores that stock the items we are always most in need of.
These are the only full time, fully registered drop off locations for Rescue Collective. Please note that these drop off locations are only for items specified in our Wishlist. We do not accept linen, towels, medical items etc. via drop off. We don’t mean to be ungrateful, but our storage is limited, and we focus on feed, equipment and animal supplies.
Our drop off locations can be found here.
We are a relatively small team and operation, despite what you may have read or heard. We like to keep things somewhat intimate in our team and really know who we are working with and where we are going with our Collective. We do take in new volunteers from time to time – please watch our Facebook Page and this page for any announcements seeking additional support or assistance. Volunteers must be 18 years of age. Thanks again, every offer to help is received with gratitude #youdidthis
We’re not involved with the actual care of wildlife, our focus is on getting food and supplies out to those wildlife rescue groups. There are many wildlife groups out there who may need help with cutting fruit, washing, cleaning and other chores that take up their valuable time. You can always offer to help your local group with those! Here is a link to the organisations for each state, you can contact them to ask if they need help:
Unfortunately, and absolutely not – we specialise in food, supplements, equipment and supplies, but do not have the storage, nor need for linen. Whilst we understand that you want to help, its sorting and storage detracts from the time we have to support those out there saving lives.
